Job Description Summary
Perform the role of Program Manager for Industry 4.0-related project deployments. The Program Manager interacts with functional departments and affected plants to provide support and guidance on the individual projects as well as to convey the important relationship of each project to the bigger picture, including the overall Industry 4.0 organizational objectives.
Job Description
- Manage projects, including monitoring scope, schedule, cost, quality, dependencies, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop, baseline, and maintain project plans
- Create project artifacts, such as project plans, metrics, team and stakeholder communications, resource requirements, and schedules
- Identify and acquire project resources
- Monitor and report project performance against the project plan and take corrective action if required
- Ensure that requirements are developed, understood, and prioritized
- Ensure that deliverables meet the agreed upon requirements and are completed on schedule, within budget, and with the defined level of quality
- Provide critical feedback to the individual members and/or the team member's manager when necessary
- Ensure projects follow all company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards
- Identify and highlight risks and issues within the project and escalate appropriately
- Devise effective mitigation and escalation strategies to address risks
- Lead regular project reviews with project sponsors and stakeholders
- For software deployments become a subject matter expert on the use and operation of the software.
- Develop / Lead the development of training materials and perform all required training
- For some deployments, it may be necessary to assume the role of software administrator.
Parsable Specific Job Functions
- Project lead for the Parsable Connected Worker Platform. There are multiple systems and functions that must work together to facilitate a Connected Worker Platform. Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to support the current user base and develop new functions for future users.
- Be the main contact with Parsable, meets with them regularly to review AAM service tickets, enhancement requests, and understand Parsable's development roadmap.
- Coordinate with multiple areas of IT:
- Supporting the development process with the plant floor systems team by defining requirements, supporting daily scrum meetings, weekly project reviews, and bi-weekly sprint planning meetings.
- Working with security and infrastructure team to insure secure connectivity for devices on the floor. This includes the development of the IoT Wifi network in several facilities. Also relaying information and issues with the clear-pass NAC solution between the user group and IT.
- Working with the Desktop application group and the Intune device management system to ensure that all appropriate applications are available, devices maintain connectivity, and all security policies are enforced.
- Working with the Fresh Service team to insure the help desk has the appropriate scripts to support the user base.
- Supports the various AAM facilities using Parsable. Provides training on the use and authoring of templates, supports any issues with the solution, and supports/mentors the various site admins.
Required Skills and Education
- Higher education, preferably production/industrial engineering (or relevant).
- Process Documentation according to IATF 16949 knowledge.
- Understanding of Plant Floor Operations in the automotive industry will be an asset.
- Knowledge of quality processes and plant floor documentation
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, etc.)
- Problem-solving / program management experience will be an asset.
- Familiarity with AAM manufacturing processes will be an asset.
- Self-starter with strong decision-making skills, and experience working in international teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail
- Must be well organized.
- Ability to travel about 40%
