We are seeking a motivated Supply Chain professional with high-growth start-up experience and a solid understanding of planning and purchasing functions. A Buyer will be responsible for owning MRP inputs and assisting in building the foundations of purchasing and planning processes at Skydio.
How you'll make an impact:
- Maintain vendor and component information in ERP system, including Payment Terms, Standard Cost, and Lead Time, Shipping Time etc.
- Quote, submit and manage purchase orders to ensure utmost accuracy of delivery dates and quantities.
- Prioritize and track supplier production and delivery schedules.
- Manage supplier corrective actions and escalation paths.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and ensure communications are clear and timely.
- Proactively update Skydio leadership on all critical supply issues.
- Analyze procurement data and report on metrics including on-time delivery, PO status, vendor performance etc.
- Resolve PO discrepancies and invoice issues and ensure timely PO receipt.
- Participate in cross functional teams and support continuous improvement initiatives for cost, quality, delivery, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on implementing supply chain strategies.
- Support the development of key planning metrics and reports including Safety Stock Analysis, Inventory Health, Order Policies, and Cash Flow.
- Mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity for given scope to meet customer fulfillment needs.
- Report on clear to build status.
What makes you a good fit:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations.
- 2 Years experience or equivalent in a supply chain, operations, or relevant role.
- Exceptional in Microsoft Excel and data analytics.
- Understanding of basic Supply Chain fundamentals.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions.
- Experience purchasing or planning mechanical components.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Proven success working on cross-functional projects, cost models, negotiating, planning.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to communicate outside of work hours, including evening calls with overseas suppliers.
Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $80,750-$126,500*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
