We are looking for an experienced Buyer to manage supplier relationships, negotiate cost improvements, and oversee procurement activities. This role focuses on ensuring quality, optimizing costs, and improving delivery performance while supporting inventory and category strategies.
What You Will be Doing:
- Negotiate cash improvement and rebatesÂ
- Evaluate cash based on delivery modelsÂ
- Request quotes and collect data from suppliersÂ
- Run QBRs for your suppliersÂ
- Enter and place purchase orders for commodities assignedÂ
- Add, identify and implement cost savings initiativesÂ
- Qualify/disqualify suppliers based on quality and compliance dataÂ
- Enforce Supplier Requirements DocumentÂ
- Improve inventory turnover by managing delivery timingÂ
- Identify delays that impact on time delivery and put changes in place to improveÂ
- Assist in gathering forecasts to communicate to suppliersÂ
- Load RFQ attributes including pricing as they are receivedÂ
- Set Strategy for categories where appropriateÂ
- Investigate and communicate tariff impactsÂ
- Manage Partner programsÂ
- Run reports based on category or partnerÂ
- Issue SCARâs to suppliersÂ
- Work in a ticketing environmentÂ
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- A keen sense of urgency
- The ability to multitask
- The ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in ERP and purchasing systems
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and executing sourcing initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- 4 years' experience or a combination of a college degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
What Will Make You a Strong Fit:
- Experience with Dell, Supermicro, Lenovo, HPE
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google application suites
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through
- Demonstrated Experience in Purchasing and Quoting systems
- Experience using SQL
- Experience in demand planning and forecasting
- Experience sourcing in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 environment
