Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking for a Buyer located in Łódź, Poland .

Reporting to the Commodity Manager, the Buyer role involves contacting suppliers, as well as representing the company in the scope of commercial and operational arrangements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Valuation of new components and conducting price negotiations with suppliers,
• Escalation of topics at suppliers,
• Benchmarking and implementation of new suppliers,
• Participation in packaging exhibitions,
• Implementation of savings projects with suppliers,
• Preparing, conducting and finalizing tenders,
• Periodic assessments of suppliers and audits,
• Leading QBR or YBR meetings with key suppliers,
• Support for the process of introducing new projects from the purchasing side,
• Preparing and implementation of new processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Demonstrated prior experience in industries such as Packaging Design, Offset/Flexo Printing, Purchasing, Sourcing.
• Typically Bachelor/Master degree in the relevant field (such as Papermaking and Printing or Mechanical Engineering)
• A sound technical basis, technical understanding and experience with CAD tools
• Experience mainly with Box Design and Paper material properties (experience in working with Plastics and Pulps as well)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are must in English and Polish as well
• A good knowledge of Excel, Power Point and a talent for communicating and presenting
• Creative, team player, innovative mind mixed with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
