Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc. is actively seeking an experienced Buyer (Procurement Purchasing Specialist) to join our dynamic team at our Hunt Valley, Maryland location. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. As a Buyer, you’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize processes and drive efficiency. What you will be doing:

• Review purchase requisition requests and place orders for goods, materials, and services.

• Proactively monitor delivery status and resolve shipping errors with suppliers.

• Set up new suppliers and assist in pricing negotiations.

• Ensure adherence to procurement processes aligned with Teledyne’s AS9100/ISO9001 certification.

• Collaborate with various departments to understand business requirements and coordinate problem resolution.

• Track requisitions, pricing and orders.

• Work with Accounts Payable on invoicing matters.

• Attend internal program meetings and supplier meetings as needed.

• Maintain the CRM supplier database.

• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 5-10 years of directly related purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft® Office, especially Outlook and Excel.

• Familiarity with ERP systems

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.

Salary Range: $71,400.00 - $91,400.00 / annual (commensurate with experience, education and training)
