High Level Statement of the Role
The Buyer II is responsible for working the MRP reports. They work in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing to negotiate terms, prices, and conditions for the purchase of product as needed. They also work in conjunction with Suppliers, Production Planning, Program Management and other functions as necessary.
High Level Roles & Responsibilities
- Work MRP reports
- Identify potential shortages and expedite
- Communicate supply information throughout the business
- Manage inventory to designated PDSOH goals
- Disposition non-conforming material
- Maintain system planning parameters
- Track PPV impact generated at purchase
- Support manufacturing as required to ensure build plans are completed as scheduled
- Ability to read/interpret visual aids and process documentation (ex. Prep Codes)
- Suggest improvements to procedures and work instructions
- Support and assist Supplier Quality efforts
- Support and assist Strategic Sourcing efforts
- Support KEI’s business needs
- Assist in department Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Ensure 5S initiatives are being followed
- Adheres to all quality and safety guidelines
- Support departmental, company and corporate policies and goals
- Check foot straps for ESD compliance as needed
- Complete work within assigned time limits
- Additional duties as assigned
