Position Responsibilities:
  • Work multiple projects and for each project be responsible for gathering requirements from stakeholders, planning, organizing, scheduling, and assessing risks; leading all aspects of implementation.
  • Produce project initiation and status documentation for all projects and conduct management and customer reviews.
  • Leadership experience developing and managing project teams and project schedules, planning, cost and EVMS.
  • Build strong project implementation teams and facilitate team discussions as appropriate.
  • Prioritize, delegate and track tasks and action items needed to achieve project completion.
  • Facilitate and resolve issues.
  • Develop overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders.
  • Lead others and direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Long Beach, CA This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience working with C-17 Globemaster III Sustainment Program
  • 2+ years of experience presenting summarized project status and issues to management and the customer along with recommended future steps
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM), cost-baselining and reporting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Experience collecting data, developing metrics, and conducting trend analysis
  • Experience with EVM (Earned Value Management) cost baselining and reporting
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within Boeing and external partners
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zones

Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $80,750 to $109,950
