C# Developer (NY)

In May 2022 Virtu Financial, Inc. announced the formation of RFQ-hub Holdings LLC to support the growth of RFQ-hub. Founding consortium members include liquidity providers Citadel Securities, Flow Traders and Jane Street Capital, asset manager BlackRock and leading electronic trading platform MarketAxess. MarketAxess has taken a significant minority stake in the platform.

RFQ-hub brings asset managers and liquidity providers together to help electronically deliver aggregated and competitive liquidity, streamline workflow and improve pricing with a focus on equity and fixed income listed and OTC derivatives, structured products and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The Role

We are looking for a self-directed, motivated server-side developer with a good foundation of advanced technologies and programming to join our NYC development team.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing the development, implementation and testing of new features for complex software applications while monitoring day-to-day operation of the production systems and perform proactive and reactive system maintenance. You'll learn all the intricacies of how our trading and technology intersect within the global financial marketplace while working on a market leading Equities Derivatives RFQ platform expanding rapidly.

How You’ll Help Take Us There  

• Hands-on development of new functionality and maintenance of RFQ-hub’s equity derivative request-for-quote platform.

• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing distributed software solutions.

• Design, build, and maintain our proprietary, low-latency negotiation protocol, systems, and infrastructures.
• Design, create, and test trading strategies and infrastructures with cross-functional teams.
• Improve the scalability, performance, and efficiency of the existing tens of thousands of trading strategies in production.

What We're Looking For

• 7-10+ years’ experience in  server-side development focus on C# (F# experience would be helpful) and Linux environments.
• Expertise with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js and Typescript is a plus.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries for SQL Server / Oracle.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing software applications.

• Experience and interest/appetite in performance tinkering from individual functions to system architecture as well as legacy systems refactoring.

• Experience with implementing unit tests in Jest, integration tests, Test Driven Development
• French speaking language skill would be a plus but not necessary.
• Teamwork and working with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams is critical. Team chemistry is very important to our day to day operations.

Salary Range: $185,000 - $225,000 (salary range is exclusive of bonuses, benefits or other categories of compensation)
