In May 2022 Virtu Financial, Inc. announced the formation of RFQ-hub Holdings LLC to support the growth of RFQ-hub. Founding consortium members include liquidity providers Citadel Securities, Flow Traders and Jane Street Capital, asset manager BlackRock and leading electronic trading platform MarketAxess. MarketAxess has taken a significant minority stake in the platform.

RFQ-hub brings asset managers and liquidity providers together to help electronically deliver aggregated and competitive liquidity, streamline workflow and improve pricing with a focus on equity and fixed income listed and OTC derivatives, structured products and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). THE ROLE

We are looking for a self-directed, motivated developer with a good foundation of advanced technologies and programming to join our team.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing the development, implementation and testing of new features for complex software applications while monitoring day-to-day operation of the production systems and perform proactive and reactive system maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design, build, and maintain our proprietary, low-latency trading algorithms, systems, and infrastructures
• Create powerful trading tools which leverage all aspects of our high-performance system
• Design, create, and test trading strategies and infrastructures with cross-functional teams
• Improve the scalability, performance, and efficiency of the existing tens of thousands of trading strategies in production
• Understand the future needs of the business and design technical solutions to meet these demands
• Ability to handle a wide variety of projects, from frontend facing projects to backend infrastructure, each in different programming languages

THE CANDIDATE

• Mastery of C#/F#
• 5+ years of experience in building, shipping, and maintaining highly optimized, scalable code
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or experience 
• Experience building and designing distributed and scalable software in general purpose languages such as Java, Go, C++
• Experience with Linux environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Driven, self-starting personality. Our employees are expected to demonstrate peer leadership and initiative early on

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Experience in web technologies a plus
• Experience in Java/Python/SQL
• Experience in distributed and/or highly concurrent systems
• Experience in low-latency systems and/or high transaction environments
• Experience working in collaborative environments
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience in Oracle RDBMS a plus
• Experience working on trading platforms

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 (salary range is exclusive of bonuses, benefits or other categories of compensation)
