C++ Developer (Virtualization)

Virtuozzo is a server virtualization solution for data centers of hosting providers, which provides the possibility to distribute physical resources among virtual environments (machines and containers).We are looking for a C++ Developer to improve service controlling Virtual Machines, containers and related pieces of the infrastructure. This service is working on top of LibVirt and should support more than 1000 virtual machines/containers on the host running usually in an overcommitted environment.Performance problems, CPU load optimization, detailed statistics collection are also present and induce additional taste.

Possible responsibilities may include:

Developing service controlling virtual machines/containers infrastructure on top of LibVirt;

Developing pieces of the basic infrastructure including some pieces in LibVirt if necessary;

Support virtual machine and container migration over shared storage;

Working under Linux/Windows guest tools in virtual machines and containers

Requirements

Expert C++ knowledge;

Plain C knowledge

Will be a plus:

Experience in opensource projects development;

Commits made into QEMU/Libvirt or similar community projects would be a big plus;

Python programming knowledge
