C++ Software Developer

Torch Technologies is looking for an experienced C++software developerto be a part of a team that producesprototype simulation software. These simulations often model complex future concepts for missile and threat behaviors. Physics-based interactions drivecompelling visualization via packages such as Unreal Engine. We also build data collection systems and analysis tools to convey easily understandable performance results.

We are looking for a action oriented person that has the ability to considerloosely defined requirements andvoicetheir ideasto implement solutions that provide value to solving our customers challenges. Our team works on a collection of evolving small projects which will keep youinterestedand challenged. Developmentteams are typically small (4-8 people). If you are proficientindeveloping in C++, have a desireto learn, and a good ability to communicate your ideas, we want to hear from you!

Primary responsibilities will be to develop, test, and document innovative, cross platform, software components.

Job Requirements

• B.S. Degree in computer science, computer engineering,or related scientific field
• 8+ years of applicable software development experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency developing in C++
• Experience with software development processes
• Experience with Visual Studio, CLion, or similar integrated development environments
• Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows
• Experience with source code control (git), and related tools.

Preferred Candidates Will Also Have One or More of the Following:

• Familiarity with developing simulations, video games, or distributed systems
• Knowledge of missile and air defense systems
• Experience with agile development
