C++ Software Engineer

Job Description This Software Engineer role is expected to design, develop and build applications that provide financial risk and pricing analytics across multiple fixed income mortgage products. This individual will be part of the Global Securitized Products Group (SPG), a highly specialized technology team working in a fast paced, business facing environment, providing high impact software solutions catered to the fixed income and mortgage domains. The team is dedicated to the delivery of functionality that drives revenue for the bank and increases business automation and efficiency while maintaining focus on strategic technology deliverables.
Role responsibilities:

• Work with a global team of developers to enhance financial applications in an Agile fashion
• Work closely with fixed income mortgage product business users to define, design, and drive implementation of software solutions
• Application support, including L3 support, troubleshooting, and actively improving the application
• Effectively communicate and coordinate directly with business and technology partners
• Contribute to the Cyber security, Sustained Resiliency, and SDLC company efforts.

Required:

• 3+ years C/C++ development experience
• 3+ years UNIX and PERL scripting experience
• 3+ years creating technical solutions for financial products
• 3+ years utilizing development tools such as Jenkins, GIT, BitBucket
• Experience with PL-SQL & Relational databases
• Experience with Messaging Platforms, i.e. IBM MQ Server, TIBCO, Apache Kafka
• Ability to effectively partner with various stakeholders (both technical and non-technical)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) and Pricing preferred
• Knowledge of Market Data (US treasuries, Swaps, Indices, etc.) preferred
• Secondary and Trading Functions preferred
• Fixed Income products knowledge preferred
• Also willing to consider candidates with 5+ years development experience in another common enterprise language (Core Java, Python) with enthusiasm to learn C++ deeply on the job
