Summary: 

We want to grow the engineering team who are actively building and supporting Securly Reveal, an EdTech data and analytics product. We are looking for a product development engineer who loves building software that solves problems and is excited about working in an EdTech environment focused on Student Safety and Wellness.  

What You Will Do:  

As a senior engineer, you will help us gather critical data on a student’s educational activities to equip administrators, tech coaches, and teachers to make informed decisions about their use of technology in the classroom. In addition, you will learn how to apply your existing .NET development skills to handle millions of server requests and run an interactive service running on Windows. 

• Build and maintain API endpoints, and web front ends using C#, .NET, and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain Windows services designed to interact with students in a K12 environment
• Collaborate with your peers to better understand the mindset and challenges of teachers when implementing new technologies.
• Receive onboarding and mentorship intended to grow your skills and contributions to additional technology stacks, leading to owning larger projects. 

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing complex web applications using .NET Framework or .NET Core.
• Strong communication, thoughtfulness, and desire to give and receive regular feedback.
• Love of learning.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications: 

We welcome candidates with experience in any technology stack. We don’t require experience in any particular language or tool. You will find we are deeply committed to ensuring you have the mentorship and training needed to learn new technologies without being left on your own. 

• Demonstrated proficiency with some platforms or technology in our stack (C# .Net, Objective-C, Javascript, Athena, Lambda, C++, Go).
• Angular 2+ proficiency (Currently on Angular 13)
• Exposure to AWS products like Lambda, S3, and Athena
• Experience in a remote work environment
• Experience with unit testing and automation
• Experience building cloud-native data pipelines
• Passion for service-oriented education products and problems
