C3 Presents - Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

C3 Presents is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will oversee management of financial statements for multiple divisions, analyze & prepare key financial schedules/deliverables and assist in other accounting functions as needed. This position is open to remote employees with focus placed on those in the Knoxville area.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Month-end close; prepare and record journal entries, including assessing necessary accruals & deferrals

• Manage show budgets (work with Ops to update as needed)

• Review various settlements immediately following the show and record necessary journal entries.

• Work with management to settle with clients when applicable.

• Prepare bank and balance sheet account reconciliations and submit for review

• Create invoices and record corresponding revenues

• Update monthly forecasts and prepare annual budget for assigned company

• Provide financial analysis of variance between actuals and forecast, budget and prior year

• File and pay monthly sales and use tax as required

• Work with AP/AR Specialists to ensure that all receivables, receipts, and payable items are processed and recorded accurately and timely

• Monitor receivable balances and collection efforts, ensuring adequate reserves are recorded as necessary

• Maintain accounting files; provide audit support as needed, ensure that files are in compliance with GAAP and all company policies/procedures

• Set up wires

• Perform other accounting functions as assigned 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 3+ years industry accounting experience (no audit or tax)

• Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel

• Oracle experience a plus

• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to take direction

• Self-motivated
