Cabinet Installer
Job Description
Must Have Following:
• Must have Commercial Millwork Installation Experience.
• Ability to read and understand plans.
• Ability to work with hand tools and power tools. Performs punch out and/or fine adjustments.
• Knowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standards. (a plus)
• Focus on customer satisfaction, be organized, detail and quality oriented.
• Flexible, willing to continue personal skill development and cross training in other areas.
• Ability to see a project through to completion (compile punch lists and facilitate completion of list)
• Follow instructions, guidance, and be able to multi-task while being able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to work well with other installers and trades.
• Must be able to measure and modify materials as needed for installation.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have current Driver’s License.Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and stand for 8+ plus hours a day.
·Communication Skills-Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to understand and correctly use terms and vocabulary common to the construction field.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is aPlus.
·Mathematical Skills-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to take measurements, use various scale conversions as well as determine special restrictions.
·Reasoning Ability-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to assess and resolve minor problems.
Experience
Commercial Millwork experience with installing cabinetry, counter tops, and trim (base, chair rail, picture frames, and crown).Knowledge of solid surface and installation of panels a plus.
Certifications
OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred. Not required.)
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the installer is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in physically demanding jobs, including standing, kneeling, bending, lifting 50+ pounds regularly and working at varying heights. (on ladders, scaffolds, and sometime lifts.
