CAM Supervisor

Our Precision Tooling (PT) Department, based in Sydney, is an integral part of our Global Moulding Function, delivering high-quality LSR injection moulds and automation using cutting-edge industrial technology.

We are looking for an experienced CAM Supervisor to lead our team of CAM Programmers, ensuring the successful completion of projects while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Let's Talk About the Role:

• Supervise & Lead: Manage and mentor a team of CAM Programmers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely.

• Manufacturing Strategy: Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager and CNC Supervisor to develop and execute programming strategies for our 3 and 5-axis milling machines, CMM, and other CNC processes.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements, working towards cost reductions and improved manufacturing efficiency.

• Schedule Management: Oversee programming task schedules, manage work orders, and ensure timely project completion to meet CNC start targets.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the CNC Team Lead and Tool Design Manager to define project requirements and optimize manufacturing strategies for new tooling projects.

• Quality & Safety: Ensure all programming and machining processes adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Team Development: Promote a cross-skilled and adaptable workforce, encouraging continuous development and collaboration within the team.

• Recruitment & Growth: Assist the Manufacturing Manager in recruiting new CAM Programmers to support team growth and future project needs.

• Strong experience in CAM programming and CNC machining processes, ideally with 3 and 5-axis milling machines.

• Proven leadership skills, with a focus on team development and cross-skilling.

• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

• A strong commitment to quality control, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Experience in managing schedules and ensuring timely project completion.
