As a Campaign Communications Manager, you will direct the creation and execution of smart, strategic communications plans for a wide range of projects across our global enterprise, from large fundraising campaigns to charity events to major gift announcements. You'll create communications plans that are creative and innovative and deliver our messages and move behaviors of our audiences at the right place and the right time. You'll bring together paid, earned and owned tactics to form the communications plans and work collaboratively with internal teams and outside agencies and partners to execute the plans. You'll be both a strategist and also execute on the strategies yourself. You'll be a part of a dynamic team of creatives, writers, graphic designers and communications professionals working nimbly and in a fast paced, high energy environment. Preferred quals:

-Nonprofit fundraising communications experience

-Advertising or public relations agency experience

-Marketing, communications, public relations or related academic degree

-Strong writing and public speaking skills

This position is HYBRID and candidates must reside in NE Ohio.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees cross-functional projects with teams across the Institute and enterprise to ensure cohesive content strategy and content creation.
  • Writes clear, accurate and persuasive copy that helps prospective donors understand how their gifts can/have made a lasting impact.
  • Gathers written and visual content on healthcare programs, medical research and Cleveland Clinic initiatives.
  • Synthesizes content into compelling, donor-centric materials that align with the tone and brand of Cleveland Clinic.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Offers direction, reviews and revises donor correspondence, proposals and other print and digital communication for target audiences including donors, prospects, physicians and patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in development communication, including writing, editing and preparing materials to support fundraising efforts required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to excel in a highly interactive, dynamic team environment.
  • Experience managing design (print and digital), brand guidelines, photography and print production to direct high-end communications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain friendly and cooperative relations with individuals contacted during the course of work, (e.g., corporate executives, volunteers, staff physicians, etc.).
  • Ability to distill down extensive amount of information and data into high-level, effective prose and ability to write creative and persuasive stories.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 15 lbs.
