Responsibilities of the Campus Recruiter include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute campus recruitment strategies to attract candidates from college universities
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and assist with drafting job descriptions and posting open jobs using Applicant Tracking System, University Job Boards/Handshake, indeed and LinkedIn
  • Coordinate with marketing to order promotional items and create flyers and invitations for industry events
  • Organize and attend career fairs including setup and breakdown the DXP recruiting booth, collect resumes, and engage with prospective candidates
  • Attend networking events to promote our organization including informational sessions in Houston, College Station, and other campuses as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with campus faculty members, career services offices, and student organizations to enhance the DXP brand on campus
  • Coordinate campus visits and interviews, ensuring a positive and seamless experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Coordinate onsite interviews for management team
  • Organize and attend lunches and happy hours
  • Track candidate activity; provide communication and updates on positions and selected candidates to hiring managers
  • Draft and extend offer letters, assist with onboarding
  • Keep up to date on company policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative support to the department as needed
  • Ensure all networking and recruiting processes comply with our company policies and procedures, as well as with all federal and state laws
  • Respect and maintain complete confidentiality related to all correspondence, records, and materials within the Human Resources Department
  • Strategically review processes to streamline for increased efficiency and effectiveness of recruiting activities
  • When not working on college recruiting will continue working on other recruiting assignments

Qualifications of the Campus Recruiter include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to travel to attend career fairs during the spring and fall semester
  • January/February and September/October Career Fairs + networking follow ups
  • DXP will reimburse for mileage/fuel, food, hotel expenses etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • Demonstrate strong oral, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook required

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time during college career fairs

Working Conditions: Professional office environment/traveling to career fairs during the spring and fall semester

Shift Time/Overtime: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm /Opportunity to work 3 days remote
