Summary
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. The Canteen Operator is responsible for the operation of a food service facility (canteen) OR a mobile food truck servicing various government work sites located within PSNS & IMF and NBK/Bremerton.

Conditions of Employment
- Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
- Work involves moderate physical effort in frequently lifting or moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Constant standing, bending, stooping and reaching.
Qualifications
Washington State Food Handlers card would be a plus.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
Must be reliable and able to communicate in English.
Education
There is no educational requirement for this position.
Additional information
Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States.
This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within 60 days of issuance of selection certificate. For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.
