Chemours is seeking a 2024 Graduated High School Senior to join our New Johnsonville team! This position will report directly to the Unit Manager — Maintenance, Reliability, Process Control.

As an apprentice, you will work closely with the team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time work alongside others to apply what you've learned in the classroom.

Location: New Johnsonville, TN

Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 29 hours per week

Preferred First Term: December 16, 2024 to January 10, 2025

Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six (6) months as a co-op. Two (2) or more terms may be required.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Working with experienced professionals on improvement and expansion projects

  • Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving

  • Participating in process safety management activities and reviews o Contributing to team meetings and conference calls

The following is required for this role:

  • Current enrollment at an accredited university for 2024-2025

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom

  • 0 3.0 GPA or above
