Job Description

The Role 

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Capital Development & Investor Relations team. The Capital Development & Investor Relations Analyst will support the global team to grow the firm’s capital base and provide exceptional client service to existing investors.                                                                                                                                                               

What you’ll do 

  • Assist team members with capital raising activities including updating presentations, DDQs, performance sheets and providing support for investor calls
  • Conduct statistical analysis comparing peer performance and assist with ad-hoc analysis for clients
  • Maintain Backstop CRM database including entering contacts, categorizing investors and creating reports
  • Maintain investor due diligence portal, ensuring documents are up-to-date and posted on a timely basis
  • Maintain prospective client pipeline on behalf of team and send weekly updates to senior management
  • Liaise with Legal, Compliance, and Fund Accounting teams to assist with client onboarding and servicing
  • Assist with operational client requests to ensure investor questions are addressed in a timely manner
  • Complete ODD questionnaires and other investor reporting as requested
  • Monitor and deliver industry intelligence to the team via various data sources
  • Compose and deliver background/preparatory emails to senior professionals for investor calls
  • Assist with preparing senior management presentations to investors

What you’ll bring

  • Strong academic credentials with degree in a financial or quantitative field
  • 1-3 years of financial services experience
  • Quantitative background and highly analytical acumen with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Sense of urgency and an ability to prioritize and complete tasks often within tight timelines
  • Poised and professional presence with ability to voice perspectives readily
  • Extremely collaborative with the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced functionality in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

We’d love it if you had:

  • Working knowledge of CRM databases (Backstop preferably)
  • Basic understanding of hedge fund business and/or capital markets preferred
  • Experience with coding and/or statistical analysis

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $130,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
