WebBank engages in a full range of banking activities including consumer and commercial loan products, revolving lines of credit, credit cards, private-label and retail credit issuance, auto-refinancing, insurance premium financing, and more. The Bank provides personal touch, direct contact with executive management, paired with flexible, customized, and sophisticated structured finance and capital markets solutions. Our programs allow our clients to grow and expand nationally, increase their customer base and penetration rates and allow them to create in-house captive financing solutions to increase company revenue. The Bank also provides capital in the form of asset-backed lending and other credit facilities to strategic partner platforms, FinTech companies, credit funds, and other lenders with a targeted focus on specialty finance or lender finance assets.
Job Summary
WebBank’s Business Development & Capital Markets Team is seeking talented candidates for the position of Manager – Capital Markets to support the growth of the Bank’s financing portfolio. Based in Summit, NJ, the Manager – Capital Markets will report to the VP of Capital Markets and will be primarily responsible for structuring, pricing and running analytics for Strategic Bank Partnership or Financing opportunities (Warehouse lending, forward flow purchases etc.) with Fintech partners. This person will engage in various other related functions, including creating pricing models for Strategic partnership and financing opportunities, screening potential opportunities, and maintaining existing portfolio-performance and economics related information. This person will be responsible for conducting diligence & credit analysis, creating cashflow models and P&L, preparing underwriting memorandum, and presenting the opportunity to the Bank’s Loan Committee.
Primary Responsibilities (Job Duties)
- Structure Bank’s Warehouse lending deals by analyzing assets, liability structure, reviewing term sheets and legal documentation, assessing deal risk and return metrics, preparation of deal memoranda, and presentation of deal to the Bank’s Investment Committee.
- Conduct analytics to present pricing & structure to existing and potential new Fintech partners.
- Research private and public financing deals to stay abreast of latest pricing, risk management trends in the Asset Based Lending market and the FinTech and non-bank lender industry
- Supporting the VP of Capital Markets in any other assigned tasks related to the Bank’s Strategic Partnership Business
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or similar background.
- 5 - 10 years experience in Investment banking, credit fund, Fintech (Capital Markets, Credit)
- Outstanding initiative, communication skills (verbal and written), critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically advanced knowledge in Excel.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadline requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Consumer or SMB assets (Loans, credit cards, BNPL) in a Fintech or investment banking / management role
