What We’re Looking For

Cross River is looking for a Summer Analyst to join the Capital Markets team for 8-weeks in June 2024. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the team across all loan sale, asset purchase, and securitization activities. Working closely with other teams in the Capital Solutions Group (CSG), this member of the Capital Markets team will also help monitor CRB’s current asset portfolio (>1Bn in credit) and help develop insights on the bank’s position in the broader ABS market.

The Summer Analyst will gain direct exposure to the leading fintech platforms in the consumer lending space. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wanting to understand how these fintech companies operate and will possess a diverse skillset, as well as deep curiosity with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Support active Capital Markets transactions—including but not limited to on-going loan sales, asset purchases, and securitization initiatives
• Analyze consumer loan datasets of varying size and complexity in order to inform asset pricing, portfolio management, and internal strategy
• Work with internal teams (Quantitative Strategies Group, Asset Management, Product Management, Data Science) to execute on team initiatives as needed
• Develop tools and best practices that can improve Capital Markets workflows and deliverables

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance or Economics preferred, but all disciplines will be considered
• Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2024- Spring 2025
• Advanced proficiency of MS Excel is a plus
• Past fixed income/structured products experience is helpful, but not required
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail

Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $25.00
