Capture Director
Job Description
ASRC Federal is seeking an experiencedCapture Director, with specific experience supporting bids for the NASA customer within our Space Operating Group. ASRC Federal is headquartered in the greater Washington DC area, but the ideal candidate may live elsewhere. Candidates must be willing to travel frequently to locations specific to assigned capture opportunities. This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading successful > $100M captures across specific NASA and/or Space markets.
Performance Profile/Position Description:
This candidate willbe responsible forqualifying and capturing major (>$100M) government acquisitions. (S)he will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is focused on "Driving to Win" by melding business, management, technical and cost elements for winning proposals. Efforts include development and implementation of the win strategy, beginning with pre-Request for Proposal activities and continuing through written/oral proposal development, negotiations, award, and transition.The candidatewill lead the capture in the development of a winning proposal strategy for NASA.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead opportunity leveraging honed Capture processes and offering creative expertise
- Work with BD to shape the RFP prior to release through strategic customer engagement and mission enhancing solutions
- Develop overall capture plan that includes technical, management, past performance, and pricing strategies and win themes
- Collaborate with BD to identify opportunity gap analysis and identify partners both internal and external to successfully close
- Develop associated briefing materials and present at gate reviews to senior leadership team
- Lead storyboard and win theme development activities
- Actively be involved in solution development and have the ability and understanding of details to present on behalf of any element of the opportunity to customers or leadership
- Actively engage team to locate discriminators and ghosting opportunities in BlackHat and competitive analysis discussions
- Provide leadership and oversight during proposal development phase
- Lead post Color Team recovery efforts and strategy discussions
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies to include automated processes, tools, and data reuse across corporate capability offerings
- Interact with all levels of the organization to stay current ASRC capabilities
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, business development and operations team members, as well as customer leadership and external stakeholders; working collaboratively with team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches; participating on or leading opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, proposal and program reviews, and lessons learned activities; communicating status, resource needs, capture strategy, and recommendations to executive leadership; overseeing the proposal phase of the opportunity to ensure successful delivery to the client; contributing feedback and innovative ideas to the team in support of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience leading NASA Captures or Master's degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience
- Existing NASA customer relationships
- Proven ability to lead captures from $50M to $500M+
- Experienced with a multitude of Capture contract types and pricing strategies to include Completion, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Performance based, Cost Plus (CP), and Time Materials (T M)
- Proven ability to derive strategic solutions and win themes against vaguely defined requirements
- Success in leading multiple captures simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle
- Aptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Flexible to work and lead teams through remote, in-office, or in a classified environment based on opportunity requirements and business need
- Must have US Citizenship
- A current Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain a security clearance preferred
