About the Carbon Footprint & Sustainability Consultant position
We are seeking a Carbon Footprint & Sustainability Consultant with expertise in web operations to assist in producing carbon-related deliverables for a website relaunch project. The ideal candidate will have experience in establishing carbon calculation protocols, providing actionable guidelines, and offering strategic counsel aligned with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. Responsibilities include conducting baseline assessments, advising on sustainable web practices, optimizing cloud hosting efficiency, and collaborating to produce comprehensive reports on the project's carbon footprint reduction efforts. Familiarity with digital infrastructure sustainability and cloud-based platforms is preferred.
Required Skills:

1. Carbon Calculation & Analysis: Expertise in establishing carbon calculation methodologies, particularly aligned with the GHG Protocol.
2. Web Operations & Digital Sustainability: Experience in optimizing web platforms for energy efficiency, including cloud hosting and sustainable development practices.
3. Sustainability Reporting: Ability to produce comprehensive carbon footprint analysis reports and sustainability documentation.
4. Cloud Infrastructure Optimization: Knowledge of cloud platforms and techniques to reduce energy consumption and emissions.
5. Project Management & Collaboration: Strong skills in coordinating with project teams to achieve sustainability goals.
6. Advisory & Strategic Counsel: Experience providing actionable guidelines and strategic recommendations for sustainability initiatives.
7. Data Analysis & Benchmarking: Proficiency in analyzing data to benchmark performance against industry standards.
8. Technical Documentation: Ability to create clear, detailed reports and guidelines related to carbon reduction strategies.
