Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist

The Montefiore Einstein Department of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery is seeking a board eligible/board-certified cardiac critical care intensivist to join our full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience. We are particularly interested in applicants who are 1 to 5 years out of training and eager to build a strong clinical foundation.

This faculty position is integral to the continued growth of our high-performing, quaternary-level cardiac surgery program. The successful candidate will contribute to excellence in the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery including providing specialized, high-acuity care to patients with heart, thoracic and vascular conditions. The ideal candidate will embody teamwork, empathy, and strong communication skills and thrive in a collaborative environment with several disciplines. Professionalism and commitment to providing outstanding, equitable patient-centered care are essential qualities for success in this role.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, opportunities exist for participation in clinical research, outreach activities, quality improvement initiatives, and program development.
