Position Summary

We’re seeking a skilled and driven Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our virtual clinic. As part of our team, you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting our virtual clinic, where our gastroenterologists and internal medicine/family medicine practitioners deliver top-notch, evidence-based care to our Members with digestive health concerns. As a Care Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in offering thorough support to both our Members and physicians throughout their healthcare experiences with Cylinder.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as an initial point of contact for Members, conducting welcome calls to introduce them to the Cylinder program, address initial questions, and foster engagement.

  • Support Members utilizing our virtual clinic by assisting with visit interactions, scheduling, and pre-visit preparations.

  • Manage tasks related to Member appointments, including chart preparation, prescription processing, and referral coordination.

  • Process inbound faxes and notes, monitor diagnostic results, and facilitate prescription orders and refills.

  • Serve as a liaison between Members and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication and seamless coordination of care.

  • Maintain comprehensive Member records in our digital health platform, adhering to strict privacy and security guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the medical team to obtain necessary Member information and facilitate timely delivery of care services.

  • Handle administrative tasks related to Member care, including documentation, record-keeping, and appointment scheduling.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1+ years in a customer-focused role, ideally in healthcare or a related field.

  • Technologically savvy, able to pick up new technology quickly and seamlessly.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions with Members, medical professionals, and external stakeholders.

  • Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and adeptness in multitasking.

  • Possesses a proactive, solution-oriented approach, with the ability to independently resolve Member issues and provide seamless support throughout their healthcare experience.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, specifically, the ability to engage in a dynamic clear conversation by telephone or video.

  • Quiet and professional dedicated workspace with secure high-speed internet access.

  • Bonus:

    • Bilingual (Spanish)

    • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes, with a specific focus on digestive health.

    • Knowledge of medical insurance procedures, prescription processing, and lab order requisitions is highly desirable.

Compensation Range: $40K - $45K
