Career Navigator
Job Description
As a Career Navigator you will be focused on partnering with internal team members to provide a first-class experience while they look for the next step in their career. As an internal team member evaluates their career path, our career navigator will assist with determining the interests of the team member and helping to identify the role or roles they should apply to. The career navigator will be a resource for team members as they show interest in other roles, help them cultivate skills and collaborate with their leaders to determine strengths as our team members pursue their next career with UWM. The career navigator role will be part of the Team Relations Team and have a cross collaboration with Talent, working closely with the Internal Transfer Pod. Knowing and understanding all roles in the company and delivering feedback in a positive and constructive way so team members can learn and grow is the key to success for this role.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualficiations:
- 1+ years experience in Human Resources or equivalent experience/training
- 1+ years experience in the Mortgage Industry
- Recognized as a relationship builder/collaborator
- Ability to be a liaison for team members/leaders and utilize negotiation skills effectively
- Solution-focused
- Comprehensive HRIS experience
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain internal SLA
- Proven ability to withhold confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to identify needs of the team/company and provide recommendations of improvement
- Proven organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple discussions and business relationships at one time
- High School Diploma
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Provide guidance and support to team members throughout their journey of developing and working towards their professional career goals/desired role
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of open positions and consulting with leaders to understand the requirements for those roles
- Assessing team members' knowledge, skills, abilities, strengths, opportunities, and current coaching to determine viability of a role change
- Consult and check in regularly with team members throughout the interview and placement process
- Collaborate with Leaders to provide interview feedback and create tailored action items/next steps for team members
- Facilitate the Internal Transfer Process by launching endorsement task, reviewing PTO Balances, Leader Endorsements, Coaching Tasks/Plans, and YourTimes, connecting team members with hiring leaders/interviews, advising on pay, conducting job offers, and completing new role details/approvals in UKG
- Collaborate with Team Relations Specialists and Leadership for coaching opportunities
