What you will do…

Our Skills Instructors are responsible for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to enhance work skills and find employment. This is a great opportunity to join a fun team who mentor individuals to enhance independence. You should be a team player who enjoys a changing environment working in a variety of settings both in the program and out in the community.

• The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
• This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
• The schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

You can make a difference by…

• Participating in the development and direct implementation of the Individual Support Plan, writing annual assessments and goals, and attending team meetings as scheduled. Implementing clinical and behavioral treatment plans, recording target behaviors on data sheets, and participating in clinical consultation as needed.
• Developing and implementing community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal and vocational skill development.
• Providing direct employment support and on the job training both in house and in the community.
• Assisting individuals in community employment, including training in soft skills, on the job training and acting as a liaison with employers and potential employers.
• Providing personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred, a passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must.
• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required.
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting.
