Carpenter

Staff Source is seeking a Carpenter candidate who is dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and top-notch service in the Lake and Porter County areas. These Carpenter candidates would be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks to transform and update the interior and exterior of a building. Shifts would vary based upon the specific project’s needs. The pay rate can range from $25-$30 and will be based upon experience. Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawing and specifications to understand the scope of the remodeling project and the carpentry work required • Safely and efficiently dismantle existing structures, including removing walls, floors, ceilings and other components as needed • Install and repair doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, trim, molding, and other fixtures to enhance the appearance and functionality of the remodeled space • Coordinate with other electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, to ensure proper integration of carpentry work with other systems • Adhere to all safety regulations and building codes to maintain a safe working environment and ensure the quality and integrity of the remodeling project • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Must pass a pre-employment background check • Essential to have a valid driver license and own reliable transportation • At least 2 years’ experience required • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness required • Capability to work independently and as part of a team • Must be able to work in a dirty outdoors environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures • Ability to stand, bend, climb, crouch and kneel for long periods of time • Accurately measure, cut, shape, and join materials with precision • Proficiency using a wide range of carpentry tools, such as saws, drills, sanders, routers, and power tools • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Ability to Commute: • Hammond, IN 46324 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Hammond, IN 46324: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
