Carpenter/Laborer Independent

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be able to work effectively on construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to collaborate with other tradespeople on-site. The Carpenter/Laborer will be responsible for executing a variety of construction tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Perform door hanging, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. • Assist with fixture installation, including cabinetry and shelving. • Conduct construction painting tasks as needed for finishing touches. • Execute caulking and stucco work to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal. • Collaborate with other trades such as electricians for integrated project execution. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience • Proven experience in carpentry or related fields is preferred. • Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus. • Strong skills in construction estimating for project planning. • Ability to perform maintenance person tasks beyond carpentry, such as plumbing or minor electrical work. • Experience in construction painting, caulking, stucco application, and fixture installation is highly desirable. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
