Carpentry Shop Lead

Summary of Primary Functions: Supervise prestress carpenter shop, assign duties to individual Carpenters, build complicated wood forms for prestress, and install form work as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Obtain shop cards for scheduled pours. • Review shop cards and mark areas requiring form work. • Calculate dimensions of form work and draw sketch. • Assign form work for Prestress Carpenter or Mold Builder. • Measure and mark forming material to correct dimensions. • Cut/saw forming materials to size on table saw, radial saw, or other equipment. • Assemble cut materials into haunch boxes, dapout boxes, header, etc. • Install form work in prestress beds. • Repair, modify, or clean used form work to be salvaged for additional pours. • Repair carpenter shop equipment as needed. • Build form work requiring advanced carpentry techniques (curbs, arched panels, etc.) • Clean up work area. • Complete timesheets for Carpenter Shop. • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor • All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
