Your Part in It:
We are currently looking for 2023 Summer Interns who are interested to learn more about the logistics and the transportation industry in our Chicago office!
Our 12-week Carrier Sales Summer Internship Program is intended to immerse you into all things Traffic Tech, the transportation industry and give you hands-on business experience and skills. After initial classroom training, you'll be paired up with a Mentor in the Carrier Sales Department who will help coach and develop you into a sales professional. Throughout the summer, you'll also get the opportunity to experience our Lunch and Learn program, cross-department mentorships, and other professional development opportunities.
As a Carrier Sales Intern, you'll be focusing on the fast-paced brokerage aspect of our business - ensuring our customer's freight is moved in the most cost-effective way. You'll be responsible for building external relationships, providing personalized logistics solutions while leveraging our technology. You'll be responsible for building and managing your own book of business with Carriers through communication and customer service.
The summer internship is a full-time, paid position. (Monday - Friday, 8-4)
CARRIER SALES INTERNSHIP
What the Job Entails:

• Develop strong relationships with Carrier companies through cold calling, lead generation and referrals.
• Learn the craft of selling through guidance of your Mentor.
• Proactively identify issues and communicate internally to determine best solution.
• Uphold daily performance metrics.
• Embrace all Internship Program development opportunities.

What We Are Looking For:

• Working towards a bachelor's degree from a Four-Year College - at Junior level standing preferred.
• Outgoing personality: high energy, motivated, sales minded.
• Eagerness to learn.
• Great attitude and desire to work hard while having fun.

Traffic Tech has implemented preventative measures and safety precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all persons entering Traffic Tech facilities. For example, upon arrival masks are mandatory, employees are greeted by our in-house full-time health screeners, social distancing is maintained in all common areas (6ft/2m), hand sanitizer stations are strategically spaced out around the office, there is a restricted flow of traffic within the office to avoid interdepartmental spreads or outbreaks, and increased cleaning of all office spaces and warehouses.
Traffic Tech remains compliant with all federal and provincial COVID guidelines.
