About the Role

We are looking for a Carrier Sales Representative to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining a carrier base for the 5F Platform, cultivate existing carrier relationships, and identify carrier growth opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively solicit and qualify carriers into the 5F Brokerage network.
  • Deploy RFP to carriers, audit responses, analyze, and negotiate/follow up with carrier selection.
  • Monitor capacity demand vs. existing network capacity and action any necessary follow-up.
  • Negotiate rates and capacity with carriers using industry knowledge and market pricing to achieve best-in-class pricing and service from the carrier base.
  • Ensure and maintain carrier compliance 5F’s carrier qualifications, state, and national standards & regulations.
  • Be prepared to meet with carriers to focus on continuing needs as well as to better understand the synergy with 5F Brokerage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in full-cycle Freight Brokerage & 3rd Party Logistics (3PL)
  • Intermodal experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, sales, and customer service orientated
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations (Hours of Service, cargo claims, etc.) helpful
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Ability and availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of our external clients

Benefits

Compensation: $50-70k base, plus uncapped commissions
