About the Role

We are looking for a Carrier Sourcing Manager to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. The Carrier Sourcing Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a carrier base for the 5F Platform as well as building a team to successfully solicit carriers for additional capacity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively solicit and qualify carriers into the 5F Brokerage network.
- Deploy RFP to carriers, audit responses, analyze, and negotiate/follow up with carrier selection.
- Monitor capacity demand vs. existing network capacity and action any necessary follow-up.
- Negotiate rates and capacity with carriers using industry knowledge and market pricing to achieve best-in-class pricing and service from the carrier base.
- Reinforce the standards associated with an acceptable carrier within 5Fâs carrier qualifications.
- Be prepared to meet with carriers to focus on continuing needs as well as to better understand the synergy with 5F Brokerage.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of 2-3 carrier sourcers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of applicable transportation/logistics experience
- Self-motivated, sales, and customer service orientated
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with DOT regulations (Hours of Service, cargo claims, etc.) helpful
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability and availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of our external clients
Compensation: $70-90k
