About the Role

We are looking for a Carrier Sourcing Specialist to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. The Carrier Sourcing Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining a carrier base for the 5F Platform, cultivate existing carrier relationships performing port and inland destination drayage operations. This position includes collaborating with the department head, the drayage specialist team, as well as direct customers and carriers to help convert more business opportunities through drayage shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively solicit and qualify carriers into our 5F drayage carrier network.
• Deploy RFP to carriers, audit responses, analyze, and negotiate/follow up with carrier selection.
• Monitor capacity demand vs. existing network capacity and action any necessary follow-up.
• Negotiate rates and capacity with carriers using industry knowledge and market pricing to achieve best-in-class pricing and service from the carrier base.
• Ensure and maintain carrier compliance 5F’s carrier qualifications, state, and national standards & regulations.
• Be prepared to meet with carriers to focus on continuing needs as well as to better understand the synergy with 5F Brokerage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in full-cycle Freight Brokerage & 3rd Party Logistics (3PL)
• Drayage experience required
• Self-motivated, sales, and customer service orientated
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with DOT regulations (Hours of Service, cargo claims, etc.) helpful
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Ability and availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of our external clients

Compensation: $70-85K
