Cash Application Specialist

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for processing high volume cash transactions for accounts receivable and accounts payable, and supporting treasury functions. This role will play a key part in allowing our business to track cash flow and capital, efficiently and accurately. The Cash Posting Specialist will ideally have experience working in a high volume and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely application of customer and vendor payments while maintaining the data integrity for our customers' accounts receivable and vendor's accounts payable profiles
• Manage checks via lockbox, ach or wire payments in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
• Work with various depository banks and resolve potential errors and technical issues
• Provide excellent customer service via conducting, where necessary, detailed transactional research, obtain resolution, and effectively communicate with team partners or customers in a timely manner
• Identifies missing remittances and takes the necessary steps to obtain the appropriate documentation required to post cash.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports for unapplied cash.
• Monthly reconciliation of undeposited funds and cash accounts.
• Cross-functional collaboration with revenue team to support customer inquiries/requests
• Prepare inter-company entries for proper allocation of funds into subsidiaries accordingly
• Identify opportunities and assist in the development and improvement of Cash Application processes to create a more streamlined approach.
• Complete or support other projects as necessary

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in high volume cash application, accounts receivables or other areas of accounting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, inter-personal, problem-solving skills. Detail oriented, professional attitude, and reliable.
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities, including report writing, requirements gathering and system knowledge.
• Change-oriented continuous improvement process skills.
• Flexibility and comfort with continuous change, willingness to take on challenges, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Ability to travel to Tampa office as required and at minimum a quarterly basis

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience with M&A, and Private Equity backed SaaS
