Cash Application Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Specialize in cash application processes, which includes verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording Accounts Receivable data
- Build daily reports of payments including lockbox, Wires, ACH, and credit card receipts
- Utilize different platforms to research, locate and analyze remittance detail and then input this data into the appropriate report
- Identify customers with difficult remittances and propose change to help ensure payments are posted correctly
- Manage unapplied payments and accounts
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding payment applications
- Other responsibilities and special projects as needed
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Prior experience in an Accounts Receivable and/or Cash Application role
- Ability to perform due diligence with rigorous attention to detail
- Demonstrated history of proficiency in oral and written communication
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to engage with others effectively and professionally, regardless of position
- Experience with accounting software (i.e., Intacct)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Requirements
- Proficiency in Excel, including but not limited to: ability to build reports, create and execute formulas, functions, conditional formatting, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently without immediate supervision
- Demonstrated history of success handling extensive research and efficiently inputting data
