The Loan Administration team powers all of the operations required to keep Valon running smoothly. From onboarding loans to handling insurance and processing payments, the Loan Administration team ensures that homeowners are continuing to get a first-class experience with Valon, all from behind the scenes.
About the RoleĀWe are looking for a Cash Management Team Lead who wants to be a part of disrupting the mortgage servicing industry by being best in class. As a Cash Management Team Lead, you will be responsible for payment operations, including, but not limited to, applying payments to loans, payment research, training, queue management, and fostering a positive work environment for the cash management team. The right candidate is a motivational leader who can adapt to a fast-paced environment and wants to build the future of the homeowner experience.
ResponsibilitiesĀ- Oversee the daily operations of the Cash Management team ensuring Zendesk tickets are worked within SLA
- Train, educate, and guide the professional development of new and existing staff.
- Ensures staff is informed and properly oriented on Valonās policies and procedures.
- Identify critical issues and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Handle issues and problems escalated by the team, escalating and reporting issues to Management as appropriate.
- Assisting with the day-to-day work and other tasks as neededĀ
- Min 2-3 years of experience doing the following:
- Payment Processing
- Applying payments to loans
- Processing payments using company banking tools
- Payment research for missing payments
- Issuing refund checks for payoffs/escrow
- Leadership
- Lead a team of 3-6 employees
- Coaching/Feedback
- Training
- Queue/Ticket Management
- 3+ years of cash handling or accounting experience in a high-volume setting
- Superior data entry, basic math, and cash balancing skills
- Solid PC skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and professional manner at all times with all levels of both internal and external audiences
