About The Team:

Auctane’s Finance & Accounting team is responsible for reporting accurate financial reporting to the public and investors, as well as driving strategic and financial decision-making processes across the Company. We partner with Senior Management and business unit leaders to analyze and drive long-term business performance.                                                

About The Role:

As a member of Auctane’s accounting team the Cash Management Specialist will play a critical role in the day to day operational functions of the organization. The cash application specialist manages the cash application process, and is responsible for making the proper assignments for incoming cash to its corresponding customer.  The Cash Management Specialist will be responsible for managing lockbox deposits,  applying payments accurately to customer accounts, performing analysis of payment histories and account reconciliations. 

In addition, this role will reconcile customer balances and payment history with focus on resolving payment discrepancies, conduct research for unidentified customer accounts and/or over-payments. 

This position will also have regular interaction with the accounting, billing/enterprise invoicing, high value service team and sales departments. The candidate takes ownership and creates solutions and enjoys working “hands-on” in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. 

What You’ll Be Doing:  

  1. Manage Customer Receipts.
  • Daily processing and application of customer payments
  • Assign and apply cash/funds received to correct customer accounts
  • Provide reconciliation support to accounting 
  • Be primary customer facing representative for payment application 
  • Handle all customer account closures and refunds 
  • Continuous process improvements for cash applications

      2. Participate in the Month End Close Process.

  • Reconcile statements
  • Ensure all payments are matched & allocated within agreed timelines
  • Research and assist with special projects as requested
  • Ad Hoc projects as assigned

      3. Assist Customer Support..

  • Assist in customer aging reporting 
  • Own customer interaction with payments, refunds and account setup
  • Assist Enterprise Invoicing and Support teams with customer reporting requests
  • Provide backup in customer invoice uploading

What We Are Looking For:                                                  

  • Proficiency in Excel formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables. 
  • Ability to work with and effectively communicate with all levels of Management
  • Willingness and ability to accept responsibility.
  • Exhibit flexibility in completion of job responsibilities as priorities change.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-Motivated individual able to work well independently and in a team environment.

What will Make You Stand Out:                                                 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more (3+) years of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash application
    or similar experience required.
  • Experience with top tier ERP and related reporting applications, NetSuite preferred.
