About the Team
The Catalog Product team is responsible for managing the core platform that structures, classifies, analyzes, & enriches Walmart's massive catalog to ensure we can serve our customers with high-quality product data. We use cutting-edge technologies in software engineering, machine learning, deep learning, and analytics to tackle problems ranging from scaling our item setup pipeline to item enrichment & item classification.
What you will do as a member of the team:
  • Define and manage strategy and business objectives for complex products by identifying market opportunities, conducting benchmark studies and competitive assessments; developing business cases; and setting objectives and key performance indicators for products.
  • Develop and enhance complex products by developing and managing product roadmaps; gathering and documenting requirements; collecting and analyzing customer and product data; turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives; prioritizing product backlog; executing on user and business acceptance criteria; and managing roll out of product features.
  • Craft and develop solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners (for example, Business leaders, User Experience, Engineering, Analytics); and engaging with key partners to deliver and support initiatives; and communicating status and insights related to product performance to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience or 3-5 years of domain experience in platform product management or eCommerce
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or related field
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a technical background
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau (or similar BI tools) and Excel
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment. You are a fundamental building block to a growing organization
  • Strong communication skills. You have an aptitude towards receiving and disseminating information across many teams both internally and externally
  • Develop product requirements and product roadmaps for a rapidly scaling product
  • You love to talk to customers, business stakeholders, and collaboration teams to build awesome products that deliver value to our customers, associates, and business
