Category Analyst - Transaction Zone

Preferred Location: Newark, NJ

Additional Location: Chicago, IL

As the Transaction Zone Category Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the team in uncovering the most relevant retailer and shopper challenges and building strategies and solutions that drive Transaction Zone growth. This associate will turn insights into action while working closely with cross-functional partners to activate across all customer teams and classes of trade.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in Category Management, Sales Leadership, Retail Leadership or Consulting with previous experience in analytics, account management, and category leadership
• 1-2 years of CPG experience preferably with key strategic accounts & with snacks, beverage, or other impulse categories
• Experience working with syndicated data software (i.e., IRI or Nielsen)
• Experience with promotional / non promotional strategy development
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Excel & PowerPoint)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Proficient in functional/technical skills utilized to extract and analyze data from differentiating Transaction Zone Team tools and capabilities (PPO, Placer.ai, IRI, Numerator, Nielsen, Wiser, etc.)
• Support Transaction Zone Team with internal stakeholder needs and customer data requests and presentations
• Partner with cross-functional teams (CSI, Cat Strat, Global, etc.) on Front-End Research projects to execute project, extract insights, and create selling stories
• Responsible for leading immediate Transaction Zone Team administrative tasks (Teams group, Team Meetings, Communication Plan, Newsletter, Monday.com, etc.)
• Lead relationship with 3rd party partner, Wiser Retail Intelligence, to create in-store audit surveys, analyze data, create scorecards, and communicate results
