With top-line revenue growth and an increase in the absolute dollar value of expenditures expected for years to come, we are looking to hire a Category Specialist Lead to assist our new Procure to Pay team in building out a global procurement strategy and function that will scale with the growth of the Company.Â
HubSpot has an exciting opportunity for a Category Specialist Lead to gain valuable knowledge in the Procurement field and to develop specific skills in a company ranked amongst the fastest growing in the world. This role will partner closely with our key internal stakeholders such as IT, Legal, Compliance, and Security teams as part of the vendor review process. The Category Specialist Lead will be responsible for contract intake, managing and tracking assigned contracts from submission to publication, contract renewals and processing of purchase orders to vendors. As well as leading a team of 8-10 Category Specialists, across all categories, to ensure they are effectively and efficiently shepherding HubSpotters and vendors through the P2P process.  Â
Responsibilities/ Duties:Â
- Manage VRM (Vendor Risk Management) queue in ServiceNow to ensure timely completion of all assessments globally across all VRM teams (Privacy/Security, P2P, and Legal)Â
- Work closely with others in the P2P function and review opportunities for continuous and business improvements. Customer centric.
- Ensure that team SLA’s and metrics are being met, and that work is completed with a focus on accuracy and expediency
- Work with Category Specialist to ensure they adhere to department standards and are individually meeting established SLA’s
- Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with Category Specialists to ensure they are processing tickets and help with blockers or risks to timely competition. Will also facilitate escalation to the Manager, Category Management when needed. Â
- Manage the key elements of contract deliverables, as well as manage and maintain a global contracts tracking database in Ironclad.Â
- Create, maintain, and publish monthly, quarterly reporting, and ad-hoc reporting for category management (i.e. quarterly cost savings, VRM metrics, negotiation tracker,etc.)Â
- Serve as subject matter expert on process, and functionality, in ServiceNow, Productiv, and Ironclad.Â
- Conduct reviews, and business term redlines, of contracts globally.Â
- Aid in the process of assembling, editing, and negotiating new contracts and renewals in collaboration with business stakeholders, and other departments (i.e. Legal, Security & Privacy, etc.).Â
- Aid in risk management activities which may includeÂ
- Collection and review of third party risk management collateralÂ
- Facilitation of risk mitigation plansÂ
- Third party performance reviewsÂ
- Triage and respond to vendor, and business owners, related questions in a timely manner.Â
- Communicate effectively and timely with all global entities and global vendors.Â
- Working knowledge of global currencies and global contracts.
- Prepare contract change notices specific to end dates.Â
- Ensure contracts and Procurement policies and procedures adhere to existing regulations.Â
- Document and organize contract documents in IroncladÂ
- Actively participating in and suggesting new ideas for process improvements and development.Â
- Maintain files and audit controls in accordance with compliance regulations.Â
We’re looking for people who have:Â
- A bachelor's degree in business, or another relevant field is requiredÂ
- 7+ years of experience working within a procurement team, and relevant industry expertise. Preferably with a multi-national high growth company with $1B+ of revenueÂ
- Working knowledge of global contract organization and contract lifecycle management.Â
- Experience leading a large team (10+ ICs) that are high performing.Â
- Computer literate, experience with P2P systems (Coupa, Netsuite, etc), Docusign, Ironclad, ServiceNow with advanced MS Office and Google Suite knowledge.Â
- Experience in purchasing IT hardware, software, licensing,IT-related services, MarketingÂ
- Strong analytical skills and backgroundÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Ability to work well with othersÂ
- Be self-directed and motivatedÂ
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Â
- Knowledge and/or experience in Purchasing is a plusÂ
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently. Team player and excellent customer service.
Cash compensation range: 92300-147700 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
