All about the role:

The SeniorCategory Manager resides with in Electrolux's group purchasing organization,specifically pertaining to product line purchasing. The role ensuresthe award of businesses to the best suppliers through project negotiations,using advanced tools such as refined cost models and supplier developmentmethodologies to identify targets of cost, quality, and flexibility. Operatingin a dynamic, international, and competitive environment, the Senior CategoryManager counts on their well-developed social capabilities, good set oftechnical and financial skills for the development of long-term relationshipswith our strategic suppliers. Maintaining a focus on quality, sustainability, andcontinuous improvement.

What you'll do:

As the Senior CategoryManager, you will utilize your knowledge and experience to analyze business procurementissues, recommend solutions and strategies, and implement change within thepurchasing environment delivering cost reductions and value creations. Managing thebusiness strategically with the objective to leverage, to promote complexityreduction, simplification, modularization, cost performance, and innovationdriving. A critical part of your role will include managing strategic supplierrelationships, including relationship building, performance, development, andintegration of global third-party vendors.

In detail, you will:

• Participate, prepare, and support RFQ and other strategic sourcing activities
• Provide indirect and collaborative leadership to the IndOp purchasing teams to ensure on-time project execution & implementation of category strategies
• Assist in the implementation and expansion payment terms (NOWC)
• Responsible for data research, analytics, and management of direct material category strategies
• Support the development of annual budgets and 5-year strategic plans for the Business Area identifying opportunities and risks
• Generate initiatives and projects to deliver productivity targets
• Lead internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) as a member of a cross-functional sourcing team
• Manage and evaluate contractual agreement terms to ensure compliance
• Participate in negotiations and use creative ways to drive value by the utilization of Value Based Sourcing
• Maximize buying efficiency, minimize supply disruption, and financial risks for the Business Area
• Support Program Management on new model Launches and platform refresh programs
• Address / support resolution to supplier driven performance issues

Qualificationsrequired:

• Education: University degree (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or Economics background is an asset)
• 3-5 years of relevant, progressive strategic sourcing, category management or equivalent leadership experience required
• Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application
• Strong knowledge of direct materials categories.
• Knowledge of supplier processes and cost drivers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain good cross functional working relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet goals and deliver results effectively.
• Some travel will be required (up to 30%).
