CommScope is recruiting a Category Manager to join our growing team! This is a 100% remote role. Candidates will be based in the US.
The Category Manager will lead aspects of development and implementation of the global strategy for our Transportation, Logistics and Warehousing divisions.
How You Will Make An Impact:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for specific categories of indirect transportation, logistic and warehousing aligned to Business Unit (BU) needs.
- Partner with BU's on specific goals and priorities in various regions.
- Drive continuous improvement actions in cost, quality, and logistics and make recommendations for cost reduction and improved quality/performance levels.
- Negotiate creative volume price breaks, rebate programs tied to aggregate dollars or volume thresholds, or other creative incentives resulting in significant dollar savings.
- Ensure timely negotiation of all agreements including: Strategic Sourcing Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, confidential disclosures, consignment, and more.
- Lead and negotiate supplier agreements and encourage compliance by both supplier and end users.
- Lead through a complex matrix environment across PLM, Ops, Engineering, Finance, Global Manufacturing, Global Transportation, Quality, R&D and Legal
- Responsible for leading Global cross-functional teams supporting BU/Category strategies and initiatives.
Required Qualifications For Consideration:
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, warehousing, or related field/role.
- 3+ years of experience in supplier contract negotiations
- 3+ years of experience running multiple RFP's
- Experience with category/supplier management, managing logistics, transportation, warehousing.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and empower teams of diverse disciplines.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.

Anticipated salary range dependent on experience and qualifications: $113,500.00 - $181,300.00
