Category Marketing Manager, EMEA Distribution
London / Hybrid – typically 3 days per week from our Battersea Power Station office
A brand new role in our business, this is an opportunity to join our highly successful and growing EMEA Distribution (EMEAD) organisation. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives in EMEAD to drive growth and increase market share within specific product categories your allocated brand (Shark or Ninja). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, regional category marketing, sales, global teams and distributors, to understand market trends, competitive landscapes and consumer behaviors, using this data to support the sales and marketing teams to grow the categories in the EMEAD region.
You will relentlessly and successfully drive continuous innovation and seek to deliver 5-star customer experiences across the global business for SharkNinja. You have the mindset that anything is possible and possess the willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:
- Oversee the continued refinement and development of all go-to-market communications and content across all consumer touch points.
- Drive a consumer first mentality to develop, alongside regional colleagues, relevant messaging and creative assets that embody our brand positioning and deliver clear consumer understanding of the products and brand.
- Drive the NPD roadmap for the EMEAD markets, including lifecycle management end to end.
- Drive the channel strategy for the portfolio to meet the overarching business objectives and joint business plans with retail partners and distributors.
- Work close to the Trade Marketing team to drive product listings and increase distribution, owning every step of the way to get products ready to launch.
- Be the category expert for your dedicated products: understand consumer, price, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs by digesting insights, connect the dots, and effectively summarize conclusions to help better inform roadmap or launch plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external agencies to create breakthrough content such as packaging, digital, social, influencer, brand partnerships and CRM.
- Collaborate with research partners to validate messaging and content.Â
- Be willing to win as a team, partnering closely with a local and regional matrixed organization to drive decision making and business goals.
- Be nimble and flexible; adapt quickly to changing circumstances or new insights. Be in the details and hands on; think strategically but drive to action.
- Drive priorities and keep momentum going on a mix of projects and project timelines.
- Respond quickly to shifting priorities without losing sight of longer-range projects and goals.
- Think innovatively to solve complex problems creatively.
Here are some of the skills and experinece you'll bring:
- Min 4 years of job experience in the area of Brand and Product Marketing, preferably within category.
- EU/Multi matrix org management.
- Proposition development & execution experience.
- Product Lifecycle management experience with technical aptitude.
- Strong numeracy/commercial acumen.
- Relentless collaboration.
- Experience in consumer electronics considered a plus
