Category Merchandiser

THE ROLE: Category Merchandiser, Women’s Fashion, Editorial & Kids  

Develop and manage a calendar of events for Rue La La and Gilt. You will collaborate with the Merchants, Boutique Production, and other cross functional teams to maximize customer engagement and business results.   

What you’ll do…

• Own & Manage calendar optimization strategies for both Rue La La and Gilt, based on learnings and goals for Women’s Fashion, Editorial & Kids with a strong focus on innovation.
• Analyze the business weekly to understand the strongest boutique messaging, concepts, and placements. Share findings with cross-functional business partners and utilize these learnings to optimize future calendar weeks.
• Ensure the distinct voice of each site is maintained through the events created; minimize overlap; collaborate cross-functionally with counterparts across the organization to manage changes and achieve successful and profitable boutique execution.
• React to business trends and product availability to ensure that our boutique offering on both sites will maximize company sales, margin, and efficiency objectives
• Ability to flex and be a team player when needed to hit goal
• Constant exposure to all aspects of the Rue & Gilt business. Work closely with many of our amazing departments: Buying, Programming, Planning, Boutique Production, Creative and Marketing, Warehouse and learn many aspects of the business

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years related experience in an e-commerce environment, exposure to fashion and merchandising preferred
• Self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think out of the box
• Proven leadership capabilities; effective and clear communications skills
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work closely and effectively with diverse teams in order to achieve objectives
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with tools in an online environment
• Prior use of Airtable, Tableau and Store Manager would be preferred.

Base Salary Range: $58,000 - 68,000

Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, equity, 401(k) match, and a variety of benefits. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
