ROLE DESCRIPTON: Responsible for leading low complexity sourcing events to implement savings across all managed sourcing categories, increase compliance and mitigate supplier risk for the McKesson enterprise.
Category Specialist:
- Collaborate with category managers to identify and implement cost effective sourcing strategies.
- End-to-end ownership of low complexity RFx projects from project intake to savings validated and lead supplier negotiations.
- Lead reverse auction sourcing events (if applicable) on behalf of category managers to support category strategies.
- Analyze data to create business case recommendations and partner with the functional business leaders to make final decisions on supplier selection.
- Perform market research to identify potential suppliers to support sourcing projects and category strategies.
- Project management and effective communication of project progress for all sourcing engagements with moderate guidance.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience.
- Input / Maintain project status within Salesforce and routing of final agreements via DocuSign.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and requirements for all sourcing engagements.

EDUCATION
- 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Experienced, fully competent in own area. Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision. It is at this stage a person will stabilize and develop their career.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$71,900 - $119,800
