Job Description

Catering Chef: $28/hr DOE to start, becoming a salaried position Preferred Qualifications: Extensive culinary/kitchen management experience, Formal training and/or culinary degree preferred Catering experience High volume, complex foodservice operations experience Knowledge and experience with Batch cooking Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet Your position will include the following duties, and they may be expanded where necessary: - Understanding of food menus. - Team leadership of kitchen staff. - Overseeing all food service for on-site and off-site events. - Executing food tastings for potential clients. - Menu development - Application and management of timelines. - Scheduling staff Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week Shift: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Evening shift • Morning shift • Night shift Experience: • catering: 2 years (Required) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Required) • Night Shift (Required) • Overnight Shift (Required) Ability to Commute: • San Diego, CA 92101 (Required) Work Location: In person
