CATIA Wiring Designer - Ford

This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions (S&PS) segment, Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) business unit.

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Systems MCAD Designer in Troy, MI.

This position is responsible for designing wiring harnesses for our local OEM programs utilizing 3D Catia software. The position is in Troy, MI. Work is performed on site at Ford, working on behalf of Aptiv. Due to COVID protocol at Ford, the initial work experience may be off site (working remote).

Your Role

• Design wiring harnesses in 3D Catia per Ford rules
• Exercise quality checks utilizing DIAS, E2KS, RQA & IPS
• Complete DPA's (design studies) per Ford cadence
• Attend packaging block meetings with customer
• Document issues in Aptiv system and attend team meetings to review progress
• Support DRE's by preparing files for Ford validation Total Design Reviews
• Design harnesses in a robust and cost effective manner

Your Background

• Wire harness design experience
• Catia CAD software knowledge/experience
• Teamcenter or equivalent PLM software experience
• 5 + years of industry experience
• Associates Degree in Engineering
